1. Is your upholstery leather suitable for demanding sectors such as healthcare, theatres or transport?
Yes. Unlike ordinary faux leather upholstery fabric, our collections are developed to strict technical specifications for high-traffic environments. We hold materials with specific fire certifications (such as EN 1021 parts 1 and 2 for residential and contract use) and finishes with antibacterial and waterproof properties, ideal for healthcare, corporate offices, aviation or rail interiors.
2. What advantages does the Bio-Material offer over conventional synthetic upholstery leather?
Materials marketed as synthetic or faux upholstery leather are usually petroleum-based plastic polymers (PVC or polyurethane) with poor breathability and a short service life. Our silicone Bio-Material breaks with that idea: it is a high-tech, plastic-free compound, sustainable and biodegradable, with superior resistance to UV rays and heavy abrasion, and extremely easy to sanitise.
