1. What maintenance does Antic Cuir automotive leather need?
Our automotive leather comes with a stain-resistant finish applied as standard during manufacturing. Routine care simply means wiping it with a damp cloth from time to time, as it does not attract dust. Steam cleaners, dry cleaning (chemical solvents damage the protective layer) and products such as Nivea cream or glass cleaner are strongly discouraged. To nourish the hide, use pH-neutral products once a year.
2. Does automotive leather crack or deteriorate in the sun?
Leather is a highly resistant natural product, but to get the longest possible life out of your car upholstery leather we recommend using products suitable for direct sun exposure. If everyday use causes a stain, clean it as quickly as possible using circular movements from the centre outwards with a neutral, non-greasy product, then dry the area.
3. Is your automotive leather a sustainable, environmentally friendly material?
